Wildebeest Migration Update

MARCH 2015

SERONERA. The vast herds of migrating wildebeest have arrived in Central Serengeti early this year. In March, the herds would normally be in Serengeti South and expected in the Seronera Valley area in late May / early June. However in mid-March 2015 Serengeti Balloon Safaris passengers were treated to wonderful views of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest crossing the Seronera River.

KIRAWIRA. By late March, the great herds arrived in the Western Corridor of Serengeti. Serengeti Balloon Safaris were delighted to fly a BBC film crew with a celebrity presenter on 22nd March. Their Serengeti Balloon Safari exceeded expectations as their balloon floated over thousands and thousands of wildebeest and witnessed many crossing of the crocodile infested Grumeti River. The program will be broadcast in 2016.
