"A Must Do!"

The cost is well worth the experience! A top notch operation with experienced pilots provide a view of the Serengeti you will never get from the ground. We got so close to the the Cape Buffalos and Hippos you could smell them! The champagne breakfast post flight was scrumptious to toast our Tanzania experience.

"Fabulous view of the Serengeti"

Service was top notch. They picked us up at 5:30, right on time and drove us to the balloon. The pilot was relaxed, friendly and professional. Takeoff and landing were quite smooth and we rode for over an hour over the migrating wildebeests and zebras as we watched the sun come up. It was fabulous. After we landed we had champagne and a full breakfast. Don’t miss this experience! It’s pricey but worth every penny.

"Well organized"

This company was extremely organized and focused on safety. We were hugely impressed! The ride was smooth, the pilot Zumo was hilarious and excelled at steering us directly over the hippo ponds and all the other fab places in the Serengeti. And at the end, the breakfast and champagne was a perfect ending to a lovely morning!

"Thrilling Flight Over The Serengeti"

JillClardy Redwood City, California 27897 Reviewed 1 March 2019 via mobile Thrilling Flight Over The Serengeti We were picked up at the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge at 4:45 a.m. and driven for over an hour to the launch site. The driver was friendly and entertaining and pointed out a few nocturnal animals along the way. We sat in the vehicle for a while and watched as the crew prepared the 3 balloons. The wind was shifting, and they deflated and repositioned the balloons, so it seemed that maybe they were going to cancel. But they quickly organized us into groups of 4, demonstrated how to hook our safety belts to the carabiners inside the baskets, and in a flurry of activity just before dawn, we were off! The ride lasted just over an hour, and the captain varied the elevation from just over the treetops to >1,000 feet. We had a great view of the hippos in the river, but didn’t see many other animals other than one elephant who moved quickly away from us. But the view of the savanna...

"Balloon Ride over the Serengeti"

I strongly suggest anyone interested in taking a balloon ride to use this opportunity in the Serengeti to check that bucket list item. Being my first experience I was amazed how easy and how peaceful it was. For those who may suffer from a fear of heights, I went with 3 other people, 2 of which were so nervous about that and afterwards they said they never should have been so nervous because it was not a problem. The basket has 8 compartments and holds 16 people plus the pilot. You are loaded into the basket as the basket sits sideways and then once everyone is in, the pilot fully inflates the balloon and the basket tips upright and slowly launches into the sky. It was so smooth. The trip was about an hour long and we cruised at various altitudes to adjust our flight path, ranging from 1 ft off the ground to approximately 800 ft in the air. The landing was easy and afterwards the staff provided us with a celebratory glass of champagne and a certificate that we attended the flight. This...

"Great experience"

We had a great time doing the balloon trip regardless of the very early start it’s a great way to view the animals and see the vastness of the park. The champagne celebration on touching down and the bush breakfast was very good.

"Incredible"

Our first balloon ride was incredible. We saw so many different kinds of animals it was amazing. Champagne toast was perfect. I wish the Serengeti brunch would have been closer to our landing site but unfortunately you can’t control wind direction. Food was great. Great once in a life time experience!

"The best I did in many years!"

It was my first experience with a hot air balloon and spotting animals from the air in Ndutu in South Serengeti it was a live changing experience. We had a very early pick-up from our lodge but our driver Morists helped us to spot 2 male lions, one female with baby lions, hippos, hyenas and other small animals… all of this before get in to the balloon! Before you get inside the basket you get a briefing and once you are up in the air it feels so magic… admiring nature from the top, see the animals walking around in big and small groups. We also had beautiful views of another balloons in the background. The landing is an amazing thing and everting was so smooth. After that you have a toast with the other people while they explain you the story of the hot air balloon. It follows a transfer to the middle one the savannah to have a nice breakfast and a diploma. Is a WOW experience!

"What an experience!"

This was our first time going in a hot air ballon and it was amazing! The basket is much larger than I imagined. We had 10 guests in the ballon plus the pilot himself. The ride was about an hour and it’s so neat to see the animals from that viewpoint. When we landed there was a delicious breakfast and champagne waiting for us. Would love to do this again and again!
